It is a gesture to honour the Warkari community of Maharashtra who walk hundreds of miles to Pandharpur for the glimpse of Lord Vithal of whom the great saints were a devotee. Shri Avinash Nagarkar will be our chief guest, who will provide information about ekadashi and its importance. Second big event which is the Flagship event of BRIMM:
03rd September 2022: Ganapati Festival at Coorparoo Secondary College
Every year brimm members come together to celebrate the Ganpati Festival. A big event happening in Pune and Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Community Ganesh Festival was started by Lokmanya Tilak to bring local public together to celebrate the culture of giving and helping each other. It was also a way for Lokmanya Tilak to connect and communicate with the public during the freedom movement. Today, the festival has grown in a big way where not only Maharashtrians but people living in other states of India celebrate this festival. It has now become a symbol of living in community culture with harmony and peace. On 3rd September, Brimm members will showcase the Maharashtrian culture through fine art, performance art, music, and Pooja.
